Requirements:
- BCur Nursing degree/diploma in General Nursing
- BTech Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing
- Business Management qualification advantageous
- Dispensing License
- Current South African Nursing Council (SANC) registration mandatory
- Expert knowledge of the, Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO/IEC 17020-201
- Certificate in audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening
- Computer proficiency
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Occupational Health
The main purpose of this position:
The Manager Occupational Health Clinic is responsible to plan, monitor, coordinate and oversee Occupational Health Services clinic, including the management of health and safety programmes for the Group and client organisations
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Routinely inspect the clinic to ensure compliance with protocols, security, safe patient environment, policies, procedures and the Group’s patient care standards
- Inform and educate clients, patients and other clinic users about the Group’s complaints procedure and “The Voice” patient experience platform
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, review, discuss and co-ordinate best approach to overall patient care
- Build mutually beneficial relationships with doctors and other professionals in terms of meeting the needs of patients and enhancing patient care
- Collaborate with the Nursing fraternity within the Group to identify and implement actions to improve service quality and problem resolution within the unit
- Report, analyse and manage customer relations in the Clinic including feedback on patient experience and satisfaction and implement improvement opportunities
- Contribute to a culture of internal and external customer service excellence, which builds positive relationships and provides opportunities for feedback and exceptional service
- Implement processes which build customer service delivery excellence and encourages others to provide exceptional service
- Provide awareness and education on matters related to Occupational Health, e.g., legislation, health hazards / risk control, safety and health
- Coordinate monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
- Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
- Compile and report on operational information to feed into management decisions and support the Clinic’s goals
