The main purpose of this position:

 

The Regional Sales Manager will lead and manage a team of 8 Sales Representatives responsible for the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Garden Route territories.

 

The role is accountable for driving sales performance, achieving revenue targets, and maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring the implementation of strategic business objectives.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Sales Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the team to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with overall business goals
  • Monitor sales performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary

 

Team Development and Management:

  • Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for the sales team
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set individual and team goals
  • Foster a high-performance culture and maintain strong team morale

 

Customer and Territory Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, healthcare professionals, and decision-makers in the medical field
  • Ensure effective coverage of the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, and Garden Route territories by planning and monitoring sales activities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region to drive growth

 

Business and Sales Operations:

  • Manage and optimise regional budgets and resources to maximize profitability
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies
  • Oversee consignment and stock management within the territory, ensuring inventory accuracy and adherence so the Consignment KPI
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards

 

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and submit regular sales performance reports to senior management
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Ensuring CRM adherence by the team in line with set out KPI thereof

  • Achievement of regional sales revenue and growth targets
  • Team quota attainment and individual sales performance metrics
  • Customer retention and satisfaction levels
