The main purpose of this position:

 

  • To manage internal and external customer services, meet and exceed business objectives and ensure the consistent achievement of all third-party logistics’ (3PL) KPIs and ad hoc requirements / services from the 3PL
  • Ensure that communication between Clients staff and the 3PL is effective and in most cases, it will be channelled through yourself – Once the communication is complete and there are actions required by either party, it is your responsibility to ensure that the actions are completed effectively
  • Manage, inspire, and motivate colleagues and service providers to ensure operational excellence, high employee engagement and improvement in service performance
  • The Operations Manager must be able to develop new or improve processes, be able to document and train colleagues, build reports, and analyse data, as well as communicate, instruct and work together with our distributor to ensure all SLAs are met

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Daily Duties:

  • Tracking and managing of inbound shipments from arrival at the 3PL up to receipt and available for sale
  • Tracking and managing stock sent out for rework
  • Tracking and managing orders from captured in the system to delivery to customer
  • Communicate and implement urgent requests (inbound / outbound)
  • Identify and resolve stock discrepancies (Note: GMP)
  • Ad-hoc requests from KAMs and Procurement

 

Periodic Duties (Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly)

  • Escalate unresolved PODs out of SLA
  • Investigate and communicate FEFO violations
  • Escalate and resolve outstanding order bookings
  • Facilitate and communicate issues in the meeting with our distributor
  • Monitor and communicate exceptions to delivery on-time and in-full SLAs
  • Have a strategy session to improve the department

 

Duties Performed at Irregular Intervals

  • Build new dashboards/ systems or reports
  • Form, document and train procedures
